Dr Mantha Makume is a Medical Microbiologist, holding her PhD in Mycobacterial genetics, jointly from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, USA. She is a former fellow of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where she completed her post-doctoral fellowship in HIV and TB research.
She is member of the Medical Affairs Department, Medical Advisor for Sandoz, previously specialising in Haemophilia and Growth Hormone disorders and currently specialising in the both communicable and non-communicable diseases. She is also certified as a Project Management Professional with the world Project Management Institute.
Mantha is passionate about research, and clinician empowerment for the ultimate therapeutic access for the African population.
